Reporting on the Frome hustings on 21st May, Somerset Live reported that 'stealing the show yesterday afternoon was the Green candidate Theo Simon, who impressed the audience with his passionate defence of social housing and his attack on David Warburton’s record as an MP...
Mr Simon, who stood against Mr Warburton in the 2015 general election, said: "It was always going to be a good hustings for me because Frome, with its many local green initiatives, and Green district and county councillors, is a natural springboard for Somerset's first Green MP.
"I was heartened as well by how many times the other candidates started their remarks by saying they agreed with me!"'
